Melasma

What you may notice

Melasma can appear like symmetrical patches of pigmentation, often influenced by hormones, sun exposure or heat. Our Skin therapists will always do a thorough skin assessment to correctly determine the skin condition present. Skin needling can also be a great treatment option for Melasma.

Recommended Starting Level: Level 2–3

Why this level is required:

Melasma is pigment deposited in deeper layers of the skin and is hormonally influenced. Aggressive treatments too early can worsen pigmentation. Level 2 stabilises and protects the skin while gently addressing surface pigment; Level 3 works deeper to reduce melanin accumulation while maintaining skin integrity.

What it does:

  • Improves skin tone gradually
  • Reduces pigment formation safely
  • Strengthens skin to tolerate ongoing treatments

Outcome:

Gradual lightening of melasma, safer progression to deeper corrective treatments like Skin Pen and improved skin resilience.
