Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) skin and hair rejuvenation

What is PRP?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) refers to a process in which we collect a small sample of your blood and use a centrifuge to extract your bodies own platelet rich plasma which is then injected back into the desired areas of the face or scalp.

At Tx Bar Geelong we use PRP for skin to improve overall skin texture and quality and hair rejuvenation purposes.

PRP is a medical procedure performed by our registered nurses and nurse practitioner at our Geelong clinic. Due to the nature of this procedure, a clinical consultation is required to determine if PRP is appropriate for you.

Common concerns PRP may be used for:

  • Skin texture and tone

  • General skin quality

  • Hair and scalp concerns (case-dependent)
